Put the sign in the window: open for agents.
Every AI assistant wants its own connection to your business. Connect once, and they all can reach you, under your rules.
ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Muse, Claude, and open agents each ask businesses to set up something different. Open for Agents is the one connection that works with all of them: they can read what you offer, ask your own agent, and book or order from you within the limits you set. We favor no assistant.

What is happening
Every assistant wants its own way into your business. You should only have to connect once.
People ask an assistant to find a kayak tour with space for two in March, the next opening at a clinic nearby, a yoga class on Saturday, or a rain jacket in medium. The assistant asks businesses directly, compares the answers, and more and more often books or buys in the chat.
Each assistant has its own way in: its own connector, its own sign-in, its own rules for checkout. No small business can set up and look after one for each of them, so most are left out of the comparison. Open for Agents is that connection, set up once, with your rules on top: what agents may see, what they may do, and how much they may spend. Think of the "Sign in with" button that lets one account work on every website, turned around for your business and every assistant.
Tours, clinics, classes, appointments, and rentals come first, because nobody connects them yet. Shops are welcome too: if you sell on Shopify, we connect your store and add what it lacks.

Checked: our go-live check calls a business's tools the way that agent does, and a business is listed to that agent only after it passes. Compatible: it speaks the same open standards and connects the same way, but we do not test it yet.
How it plays out
One shopper, three stores, and an order on your terms.
- A shopper asks her assistant for a waterproof jacket in medium, under $200.
- The assistant asks three outdoor stores. Yours answers with a binding quote: the price, the stock, the cancellation terms, and how long the price holds.
- The assistant shows her a preview with the exact total and who she is buying from. She approves.
- The order is placed with your shop as the seller, within the limits you set, and you fulfill it.
- She also asked about gaiters that were sold out. When they are back, your agent tells her assistant once, with the 10% offer you set.

Your agent, three weeks later
Hi, this is the automated agent for Fernleaf Supply. The trail gaiters you asked about are back in size M. Use code TRAIL10 for 10% off, valid until 30 November.

Step one: agentic ready
Agents can read your business, starting today.
A scan shows what an agent can and cannot understand on your site. Then we generate what agents look for, from your own information.
Readiness scan Live
A score, what an agent can and cannot read on your site with proof for each point, and fixes in order of impact. Free, no account needed.
Agent-ready files Live
Once your domain is verified, we generate what agents look for, from your own information: an llms.txt summary, an agent card, structured data for your products, services, or events, robots.txt rules for AI agents, setup guides for Claude and ChatGPT, and a snippet for your pages. We check that they are live on your site.
Your Shopify store, connected Live
Connect your store once. Your products, prices, and stock stay in sync every hour, and nothing on your store changes.
A spreadsheet or your own system Live
No Shopify? Upload a spreadsheet of what you sell, or connect the booking or shop system you already use through its API.
A Meta Catalog feed Live
A product feed for Meta Commerce Manager, built from the same data, so your goods can show up where Meta's shopping assistant looks. Off until you turn it on.
Step two: agent native
Your business gets an agent other agents can talk to.
Hosted by us, on the open standards agents use, and answering only from what you approve.
Your hosted agent Live
It answers in plain language from your live offers, prices, and availability, always says it is an automated agent for your business, and links only to your own pages. Spending limits cap every conversation.
On A2A and MCP Live
Your agent speaks A2A 1.0, the open standard agents from different companies use to talk to each other, and MCP, which most AI assistants use to connect to businesses.
Agent-to-agent conversations Live
Other agents talk to yours, and yours can ask the partner and supplier agents you approve. You can read the full transcript of every conversation, in both directions.
Directory listing Live
If you opt in, your agent is listed in the Open for Agents directory, so other agents and the people who run them can find it.
Verified and signed Live
Your domain is verified, and your agent card is digitally signed, so other agents can check that it really comes from your business.
Memory and your offers Live
Your agent remembers what returning customer agents asked for, as structured notes only. When something they wanted is back in stock, it can send one message with an offer you define. Any agent can ask what is remembered, stop messages, or be forgotten.
Analytics by assistant Live
Which assistants and platforms called, what they asked for, quotes, orders, revenue, errors, and how many customers they sent to your own pages.
Step three: agents that order
Agents can book and order from you, under your rules.
Bookings and orders happen only when you turn them on. Every one can be previewed and approved, stays within the limits you set, and you remain the seller. We label what works today as Live, and what we are building now as In build.
Binding quotes, holds, orders, and bookings Live
A quote is a firm price with an explicit expiry. A hold keeps the stock and price for a set time. Changes and cancellations come back with the fee and the refund as exact amounts before anything happens.
Preview before anything is placed Live
Every booking or order can be previewed first, so the shopper sees and approves the exact items, total, cancellation terms, and seller. A repeated request never creates a second order.
Connect once, no passwords Live
Assistants connect with a key you issue, or the shopper signs in once through Open for Agents and chooses which businesses may take orders. No passwords are shared.
One connection, many businesses Live
An assistant can connect to Open for Agents once and reach every business that opted in for it. You decide, assistant by assistant, whether yours is included.
Your rules for agents Live
Choose what agents may do: answer only, quote only, book or buy with the shopper's approval, or book on their own within your limits. Set a limit per order and per day, ask for approval above an amount, and block actions or categories.
A record of every request Live
Every agent request and every decision is logged with the platform it came from. Download the log at any time.
Go-live checks Live
Test your business the way Muse, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Claude, OpenClaw, and Hermes use it, without placing an order. Each assistant reaches your business through the one connection only after its own check passes.
Text screening Live
Text that agents read, such as your product descriptions, is screened for hidden instructions and suspicious links. Anything flagged is held back until you fix it.
Checkout with Shopify and Google (UCP) Live
Checkout on the Universal Commerce Protocol, built on the same quotes, so prices never differ between assistants.
Checkout in ChatGPT (ACP) Live
The Agentic Commerce Protocol for ChatGPT checkout, on the same quotes and orders.
Spending limits shoppers set in advance (AP2) Live
A shopper can let their assistant spend up to a limit they choose, and revoke it at any time. Your rules still apply on top.
Payment to your own processor In build
Payment goes from the shopper's wallet to your own payment processor. Open for Agents never holds the money, and you are the merchant of record.
Orders sent to your systems Live
Signed notifications when an order is confirmed, changed, or cancelled, so orders flow straight into the systems you already use.
Disruption handling Live
When you have to cancel or delay, the shopper's assistant gets your remedy, such as a rebooking, refund, or credit, as clear choices.
How it works
Four steps: scan, connect, set your rules, go live.
Scan
Enter your website. In about a minute you see what agents can and cannot understand about your business, and what to fix first.
Connect
Connect your Shopify store, upload a spreadsheet of what you sell, or link the system you already use. Verify your domain and we generate your agent-ready files.
Set your rules
Choose what agents may do, from answering questions to booking within your limits, and the most they may spend per order and per day. The default is answers and quotes only.
Go live
Run the go-live checks, switch on your agent, and watch every conversation, quote, and order as it happens.
Who it is for
Any business that sells something an assistant might be asked about.
Tours
A travel assistant asks which March departures have space for two, and holds two places at a fixed price.

A patient's assistant finds the next open appointment at the nearest location, and books it if you allow bookings.
Classes
A student's assistant finds a beginner class on Saturday morning with a free spot, and books it at your price.

A client's assistant asks what you offer, what it costs, and when you are free, and books a slot you published.
Rentals
A visitor's assistant asks for two bikes for Sunday, gets the price and the deposit terms, and reserves them.
Restaurants
A diner's assistant asks for a table for four on Friday at 7, and books one of the times you published.
Shops
A shopper's assistant checks a jacket in medium, gets a binding price, and places the order once she approves.

Questions
FAQ
Can an agent spend my customers' money?
Only with the shopper's approval of the exact preview, or, if you choose, on its own within the per-order and daily limits you set. Spending limits that a shopper sets in advance (mandates) are honoured too, and your limits always apply on top. Today no money moves through Open for Agents.
Do you hold the money?
No, never. Open for Agents does not hold, pool, or settle funds, and you are always the seller. Routing payment to your own payment processor is in build.
What if the agent is wrong?
Every booking or order is previewed with exact amounts before it is placed, and a price that changed or a quote that expired is refused, never changed silently. Your limits cap every order and every day. Every request is in the audit log, and text that looks like an attempt to steer an agent is quarantined until you fix it. Your hosted agent answers only from your approved information, and its spending is capped per conversation.
Do I need a developer?
No. The scan needs only your website address. A Shopify store connects in a few steps, and a spreadsheet of what you sell is enough otherwise. If you have a booking or shop system with an API, a developer can connect that instead.
Which assistants can reach my business?
Any assistant that speaks the open standards, through the same connection: Muse, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and open agents such as OpenClaw and Hermes. The go-live checks test Muse, ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Claude, OpenClaw, and Hermes the way each one connects. We favor no assistant, and you choose which ones may list your business. How each one connects.
Is this the A2A protocol?
Yes. Your agent speaks A2A 1.0, the open standard for agents from different companies to talk to each other, now part of the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation. It speaks MCP too, which most consumer assistants use.
What about my Shopify store?
Connect it once after you verify your domain. Your catalog stays in sync every hour, we add what Shopify does not give you (your own agent, the directory, agent-to-agent conversations, memory and offers, structured data, and a Meta Catalog feed), and nothing on your store changes. Shopping assistants can check out through your store's own checkout protocol (UCP), with your store as the seller.
Will other agents call my business?
We cannot promise that. Today most agent-to-agent traffic happens inside large companies' own systems. We make your business ready, safe, and easy to find, and we show you exactly what happens.
Can I turn bookings and orders off?
Yes. They are off until you turn them on: the default lets agents read and quote only. You can change your rules at any time, and the change applies to the next request.
How long does setup take?
The scan takes about a minute. Connecting a Shopify store or a spreadsheet can be done the same day; verifying your domain can take as long as your DNS change does. We can walk through setup with you on a call.
